2025 Year in Review: Recording Audio Transcription, Side-by-Side Cameras, 100 Breakout Rooms, Multiline Equations, LTI 1.3, and More

2025 was a year of growth at Unicko. We added new features and made improvements to our platform while continuing to work with new and existing customers around the world. Now, as we prepare for 2026, we want to take a look back at some of the highlights from the past year.

Side-by-Side Cameras

Participants can now enable a side-by-side mode to see the video thumbnails in a separate panel. Resize the panel to show more video thumbnails.

Breakout Rooms

Breakout Rooms allow the host to split their meeting to separate sessions for focused discussions or group work. Now you can create up to 100 breakout rooms within a single meeting.

Recording Audio Transcription

Audio transcription automatically transcribes the audio of a meeting or webinar. You have the option to show the transcript during recording playback and download the transcript using the API.

Add Event to Calendar

Meeting and Webinar registrants now have the option to add the event to their calendar directly from the registration confirmation email.

Full Size Presentation Video

Presentations support embedded video files. Clicking on the new full-size button will play the video on the entire content area.

Improved Camera Background Quality

Users can blur their video background or replace it with an image. Camera background will now look more accurate.

Save Split Whiteboard as PDF

When the Split Whiteboard is activated, each attendee can work privately on a separate whiteboard. Now the host can save a PDF file with the work of all attendees.

Multiline Equations

The Equation editor lets you insert mathematical expressions and formulas into the whiteboard. Now you can write equations that comprise multiple lines to show a step-by-step process, or successive simplification steps.

LTI 1.3

With Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) organizations can integrate Unicko with their Learning Management Systems such as Moodle. Unicko now supports LTI 1.3, the latest version of this standard. Learn more.
