Unicko Whiteboard for Teaching Online

August 22, 2021

Whiteboards are an essential part of any classroom both in person and online. Virtual whiteboards offer a wide range of different features for students and teachers. The Unicko whiteboard allows users to participate in one-on-one or group sessions and enables them to write freehand, draw shapes, add text and copy images. The whiteboard is optimised for studying math and sciences (physics, chemistry, biology), as it allows the teacher and students to upload files or copy questions, write equations with a digital pen and save the whiteboard as a PDF file at the end of the session.

Tools

Annotate and write freehand, draw shapes (lines, squares and rectangles, circles and ellipses), add text, erase, select colors, add image, drag & drop, resize, undo & redo.

Easy to collaborate

Whether teaching a large class or tutoring an individual student, the teacher has control of the Unicko whiteboard and can grant the students permission to access the various features. The collaborative whiteboard feature allows the students to annotate the whiteboard and solve equations for the whole class to see. Alternatively, if the teacher wants students to work independently they can use the split whiteboard feature. Each student is given their own whiteboard, and the teacher can monitor their work.

Copy & Paste

Our whiteboard offers the option to copy and paste directly from documents, the clipboard or a shared screen. Students can upload files, copy and paste their questions into the whiteboard and solve them together with the teacher.

Multiple pages

An advantage of virtual whiteboards is that they don’t have the same space constraints as physical whiteboards. Unicko whiteboard offers multiple pages, so the teacher can move on to a new page while still keeping the previous material available.

Shape recognition

The whiteboard automatically recognises the shapes that a user draws and converts them into clean geometric shapes, including lines, circles, triangles and more. This is particularly helpful when teaching subjects such as geometry or physics.

Works on all devices

Around the world students of all ages are joining virtual classes from a variety of devices. Unicko is a web based platform which means no download is required, and it works on all devices regardless of screen size.

Optimised for graphic tablets

Many teachers use graphic tablets when teaching subjects such as math and science. A graphic tablet is a device which connects to the computer and enables the user to write and draw with a digital pen. All features are accessible within one click, which gives the teacher the freedom to teach as easily as they would in a classroom.

Save whiteboard

At any point during the lesson, the whiteboard can be saved as a PDF file. This way the students have the information readily available to use as they complete their homework or study for tests and exams.

Session recording

The teacher can record the session for students to view at a later time. When a session is recorded, the audio and video conference, chat messages and any content that was added to the whiteboard are included.

Unicko Offers an All Inclusive Virtual Classroom

From video and audio conferencing to a text editor, our whiteboard works together with Unicko’s other features to offer an all inclusive virtual classroom. With the option to present documents and media, split students into breakout rooms, engage via chat and keep the students interested with polls and quizzes, Unicko has everything you need for effective online teaching.
